Following God's call, Father lived as a diocesan hermit for six years, putting into practice the guidance of these two great mystics of the Church. During this time, he lived in a small cabin on an abandoned farmstead in rural North Dakota. It was in this solitude that the content of this book was undertaken. Fr. Sattler returned to his diocesan ministry in 2013 and now serves as the spiritual director in the diocese of Bismarck.
